Jonathan Peters, Senior Pastor

Jonathan Peters has served as Senior Pastor since 1998.  A native of Chicago, Jonathan came to Christ as a student at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Sheila have four children: Christopher, Jordan, Micah, and Eden.

Lonnie Trembly, Associate Pastor of Students

Lonnie joined our staff in 2007 as Associate Pastor, Students. After almost 30 years in the corporate world, God called him to leave that arena for full-time ministry. Before joining the FBCC staff, Lonnie served as Associate Pastor for a church plant in the Chicago area. Lonnie and his wife Audrey have three kids and three grandchildren. 

Jenny Auld, Director of Preschool and Children

Jenny is a native of Pinckneyville, Illinois, and long-time resident of St. Charles. She came to Christ as a child and loves serving the kids at FBCC! She is a graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. In October of 2017, Jenny doubled the size of her family when she adopted Evy Lu from China.

Karen Mercer, Administrative Assistant

Karen was born in St. Louis and moved to Columbia in 1985. She has two children (Sarah & Jonathan) and four grandchildren (Olivia, Hope, Isaac, & Lyla). She loves family vacations and enjoys spending time sewing and crafting with her friends. She feels so blessed serving the Lord at FBCC for over 30 years!
